Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 July 2026

Client Score has no direct relationship with customers - they're covered by the separate Trade → Customer Notice, not these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Client Score account, you ("Trade Member", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't register or use the platform.

2. Description of service

Client Score is a platform that lets verified Trade Members record and search structured feedback (ratings) about customers they have worked with, to help assess suitability for future work.

3. Eligibility

All members must hold a valid licence, ABN, and insurance relevant to their industry and trade. We may verify this information and refuse or revoke membership at our discretion.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Customer Disclosure Obligations (the core compliance clause)

  1. Mandatory disclosure. You must include Client Score's Customer Feedback & Data Sharing Notice in every quote, job acceptance, or engagement document you issue to a customer before starting work, where that customer's feedback may be recorded on Client Score.
  2. No submission without disclosure. You must not submit a customer rating unless the Notice was provided to that customer at or before the point you collected their contact details. By submitting a rating, you warrant this condition has been met.
  3. Accurate, good-faith ratings. You agree to submit ratings only where they reflect your direct, first-hand experience of a completed or attempted job - not for reasons of personal dispute, competitive advantage, or retaliation.
  4. Record-keeping. You must retain evidence (e.g. a copy of the quote/acceptance document containing the Notice) for each job you rate, for a minimum of three years, and produce it to us within 15 days of request.
  5. Audit rights. We may spot-check or request evidence of your compliance with clauses 1-4 at any time. Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in suspension of your rating privileges, removal of disputed ratings, or termination of your membership.
  6. Customer disputes. Where a customer disputes a rating or claims they weren't given the Notice, you agree to cooperate with our dispute resolution process, including providing evidence of disclosure within 15 business days.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not: submit ratings about a job you weren't directly involved in; attempt to identify or contact a customer through the platform other than through your own direct dealings with them; attempt to circumvent the hashing/search mechanism to build a bulk export of customer data; or use the platform for any purpose other than assessing customer suitability for trade work.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your membership, remove disputed ratings, or restrict rating privileges where we reasonably believe you've breached these terms, in particular clause 5. Clause 5 (Customer Disclosure Obligations) survives termination with respect to ratings you've already submitted.

8. Indemnity

You indemnify Client Score against any loss, claim, penalty, or regulatory action (including under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or in defamation) arising from: (a) your failure to provide the Notice to a customer prior to submitting a rating; (b) submission of a rating that is false, misleading, made in bad faith, or not based on direct experience; or (c) your breach of clause 5.

9. Limitation of liability

10. Disputes

If a customer disputes a rating, we'll run our dispute process (see Privacy Policy, section 7) and may ask you for evidence under clause 5.4. If you disagree with a decision we make, contact us at contact@clientscore.com.au to discuss.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the changes.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of State/Territory, Australia.
